Do you feel alone with a problem, standing on shaky ground? Would it help to have a new perspective? You may feel that you're leaning too much on family and friends. Coming to therapy during these times can help you stabilize and begin to move forward.
I work with individuals and couples, specializing in
- grief and loss
- family stress
- adjusting to major changes
- career development
- coping with a family member's mental illness
- other issues - please ask!
Keep in mind that therapy is serious, but it can be frank and funny, too... I want you to be comfortable and have results, whether this is your first experience of therapy or you've participated in the past.
My clients are business owners and entrepreneurs, musicians, artists, designers, students, lawyers, school teachers, chefs, yoga teachers, medical and mental health professionals (and more!).
I especially enjoy working with people who are training to be mental health professionals - it's essential to have the experience of being in therapy and knowing yourself. Having supervised many interns, I can relate and offer informed support.
I recognize that people may be reluctant to come to therapy, because they've heard that it would mean they are weak, or "crazy", or self-indulgent. The fact is, nearly everyone has a time in their life where they can benefit from the support and insight of a professional and caring therapeutic perspective - without stigma. LGBTQ and people of all ethnicity and backgrounds are welcome.
My rates are $120-$180 per visit, depending on length and type of session, and you may be eligible for sliding scale. I also accept out-of-network insurance and offer a free 30 minute phone consultation.
You can thank yourself when you make the call!
"I appreciate that Ramona listened to what I wanted to get out of our sessions and responded accordingly- I didn't feel like she was trying to fit me into a box. Also, she's worked with artists so that was an added bonus to feel like she understood me." - KP
“I feel very lucky to have found someone who could help me so much over the course of several months. It was truly a rewarding and worthwhile experience, and probably the best gift I could have given myself, during such a dark, difficult time. Thank you, Ramona!” – G.G.
